3. Send the following items: $40 non-refundable application fee, Proof of age (19 or over) OR proof of high school graduation, a recommendation letter, your Personal Statement, and of course, your Portfolio. Full instructions are in the Application Kit.
Your portfolio should be 6 – 10 pieces of your work in any medium, and can include drawings (including life drawing), comic or graphic design, photography, painting, sculpture, graphic or website design and any 2D or 3D computer imagery. Please do not submit your originals; photocopies or prints are preferred and will not be returned. Digital media should be supplied on CD or DVD. Email of images and documents (not large movies please) or a link to your website or an online portfolio is acceptable.
Your personal statement should describe your interests, influences, career goals, why you would like to learn with us and anything else about yourself that you would like us to know.
Applicants will be considered based on a combination of motivation, artistic potential, professional attitude, previous education or work experience, technical competence and solid financial plan, in conjunction with the order in which your application was received.
Our full-time program consists of a total of 46 weeks of training. We are an Accredited Institution #3430 with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia (PCTIA). Our students are covered with PCTIA's Student Completion Fund Tuition Insurance. Upon graduation students receive a Lost Boys Learning Diploma in Visual Effects and job placement assistance.
Full-time 2009-2010 program: $22,500 Cdn Funds
Tuition includes: Individually-assigned computer workstation including dual LCD monitors, DVD R/W drive, optional tablet; access to high definition digital video and still cameras and related onset VFX equipment; student activity fees including field trips & student social events during class hours; assistance finding accomodation; job placement assistance; lab maintenance; graduation dinner & diploma; PCTIA training completion fund insurance and other related services.
Students should supply: personal headphones, personal computer for home (optional), DVD stock for backups and spending money for activities outside of school hours such as movies or dinners (optional).
Upon Acceptance, the student will be required to sign and return the Enrolment Contract along with a seat reservation deposit ($2,500.00 Cdn.). The remainder of the tuition will be due 20 days prior to the start of classes.

PAYMENT METHODS
For tuition, we accept Visa, Mastercard, cheques, money orders, bank drafts and wire transfers. In the case of a Student Loan, payments will be accepted directly from the Lender.

As we are now Accredited, students may be eligible for Financial Assistance from the provincial or federal government student loans program. More information can be found at the Student Aid BC website.
