Tuition & Other Costs

Tuition

Our full-time program consists of a total of 46 weeks of training.  Our students are covered with PCTIA’s Student Completion Fund Tuition Insurance.

MAY 2011 PROGRAM: $27,500 CDN Funds
SEPTEMBER 2011 PROGRAM: $27,500 CDN Funds

  • DEPOSIT REQUIRED: Upon Acceptance, the student will be required to sign and return the Enrollment Contract along with a seat reservation deposit ($2,500 CDN.). The remainder of the tuition will be due 20 days prior to the start of classes.
  • TUITION INCLUDES: Individually-assigned computer workstation including dual LCD monitors, access to HD digital video and still cameras and related onset VFX equipment; a variety of costumes and props; program-related field trips; lab maintenance; PCTIA training completion fund insurance; job placement assistance; graduation ceremony. Note: Some students choose to contribute personally to augment a project. However, this is not required for project completion or grades and done at their sole discretion.
  • STUDENTS SHOULD SUPPLY: Personal headphones, DVD stock or portable hard drive for backups.

*Tuition is subject to change. However, tuition on the enrollment agreement signed by the Student and the School is binding.

Payment Methods

For tuition payments, we accept Visa, Mastercard, cheques, money orders, bank drafts and wire transfers. In the case of a Student Loan, payments will be accepted directly from the Lender.

Student Financing/Student Government Loans

As we are an Accredited Institution, Canadian students may be eligible for Financial Assistance from the provincial or federal government student loans program. More information can be found at the Student Aid BC website.

Student Bank Loans

Many Canadian chartered banks offer Student Lines of Credit and financing options.

Scholarships

Lost Boys Learning does not offer any scholarship programs or incentives at this time.

Student Expenses and Living Costs

Students may use the following examples as a guideline to estimate their living costs during the school year. We provide assistance locating affordable housing, usually near school so that a car is not needed. See Community for more information about resources and activities while living in the Comox Valley.
