Learning by Doing

Much of what makes the program unique is the hands-on experience gained during field work.  Bring your boots and be prepared to scout locations in the woods, choose UFO landing zones on the perfect stretch of beach, and shoot stills or video for all of your projects. You will spend time prepping a set, doing lighting tests, shooting green screens and even helping with some acting, if you like.  And don’t forget the visits to professional VFX studios in Vancouver, as well as a few other surprise field trips.

A veteran visual effects supervisor and a teaching desire = Mark Bénard - it’s not an over-statement but this is what Mark really is.
