Studio Classroom

Welcome to the Lost Boys Learning environment.

In summer of 2009 we moved to our new facility in Courtenay’s “Tin Town” area, a mix of business, art studios, coffee shops, health practitioners and residential lofts. Our studio is open, warm and welcoming. The instruction side is set up much the same as you might find in any studio, with individual workstations each equipped with dual LCD screens. Students use this area to work on projects and receive one on one project discussions with the instructor and teaching assistant. The other half of the studio includes the student lounge area which is also used for Friday screenings, art classes, photo studio and prop storage.

I will never forget the experience I had at Lost Boys Learning. The training I received went well beyond my expectations and provided me with a level of exposure to industry-style production that helped prepare me for today’s fast paced work environment in a way that I think very few schools can. Not only did Mark and Gillian teach a complete array of industry techniques and practices, but they pushed me to reach my own goals and strive to discover new approaches. Lost Boys Learning absolutely put me where I am today. It was a great experience and is a great way to prepare yourself for a career in Visual Effects and Animation.
