Program Administrator

Ria Ambrose | Program Administrator / Student Services Director / VFX Production Manager

Ria Ambrose is currently the student’s primary administrative contact at Lost Boys Learning, handling inquiries, registration, job search assistance and resumes. She arranges studio tours, guest speakers, social events and promotions for the school. Ria also manages the day-to-day production needs of the studio and tracking goals and outcomes with the students.  Ria is also heading the new curriculum development for Lost Boys. Ria studied 3D Animation and was the previous Co-Owner,  Administrator and Part-time Instructor of  a digital animation school.

Biography

Ria studied 3D Animation and was the previous Co-Owner, Administrator and Part-time Instructor of a digital animation school. 

Her past experience also includes graduating film school and has worked on-set and in the community. After which time, she studied photography and SFX make-up.  In the past she has worked for the Vancouver International Film Forum and the Victoria Independent Film & Video Festival. 

Ria has also worked as a Special Effects Make-up and Prosthetic Artist, which she continues to do part-time and helps out with student projects.

Ria’s has extensive administration experience, working as a legal secretary, accounting assistant and a print editor (who also designed much of the graphics) for a music magazine.

Her years of experience in the film industry, education field and administration combined, give her a qualified view on project aesthetics and production needs.
