The Visual Effects Diploma at Lost Boys Learning is a one-year program covering television and feature film quality VFX production, including 3D, compositing and live-action integration, led by award-winning VFX Supervisor/Mentor Mark Bénard.  Students complete a project-based curriculum modeled after real-world examples.

    Who Does Well in this Program?

    The most successful in the program and later in the industry are those who are self-motivated, inquisitive, driven, goal-oriented, focused and able to work independently while within a group setting.  Pride and ambition, a sense of humour, and a life long desire to learn are strong factors as well.  Maturity and life experience can offer valuable perspective in an ever changing field.

    Lost Boys Learning (LBL) is a privately owned, post-secondary institution in British Columbia, Canada. LBL is governed by the following designations:

    • Accredited Institution #3430 with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia (PCTIA).
    • Designated by StudentAid BC/Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development.
    • Certified as an Education Institution as approved by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Canada.
    • Member of the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce.
    • Members of the Visual Effects Society and ACMSiggraph.
    • Lost Boys Learning Governing Board.
