Career Preparation and Placement

We currently have a 93% successful placement rate for students, including full-time, contract and VFX intern positions. During the program each student will receive recruiting information, interview and networking tips and job placement assistance, and complete a personal demo reel, website and resumé. We maintain a growing directory of studios, industry forums, and placement RESOURCES in Canada, the USA and international locations.

What types of jobs are graduating students prepared/qualified for?

Our graduates have worked under the following titles: VFX Artist, Junior Compositor, Compositor, FX Technical Director, 3D Generalist, Matte Painter, Effects Animator, Lighting/Rendering Artist, Matchmover/Tracker, BG Prep Artist, Roto/Paint Artist and Props/Environment Modeler. On the job, artists may specialize in one specific area or work more as a generalist, depending on the size and style of the studio.  During the program, students have the opportunity to learn about and explore the various visual effects techniques, often finding a personal favourite to develop as a specialty or expanding their overall knowledge in a broader area.
